Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted to share and deposit their scholarly work in appropriate repositories and academic platforms in accordance with the journal's open access, copyright, and licensing policies.

1. Permitted Versions

Authors may deposit or share the following versions of their work:

  • Preprint: The version of the manuscript submitted before peer review.

  • Accepted Manuscript (AAM): The author's final version after peer review and acceptance, before journal formatting and publication.

  • Version of Record (VoR): The final published version of the article.

2. Embargo

AJQR does not impose an embargo period on author self-archiving.

Permitted versions may therefore be deposited or shared immediately, subject to the applicable licence and appropriate acknowledgement of the original publication.

3. Permitted Repositories and Platforms

Authors may deposit or share their work through appropriate scholarly channels, including:

  • Institutional repositories

  • Subject or disciplinary repositories

  • Author's personal academic website

  • Institutional webpages

  • Academic or research profiles

  • Other lawful scholarly repositories

The availability of a particular repository or platform does not constitute an endorsement by the journal.

4. Attribution

Authors should acknowledge the original publication when depositing or sharing their work.

Where available, the repository copy should include:

  • Article title

  • Author name(s)

  • Journal title

  • Publication year

  • Volume and issue

  • DOI or permanent article link

  • A link to the published Version of Record

5. Creative Commons Licence

Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) Licence, subject to the journal's Licensing Policy.

Authors may reuse and share their published work in accordance with the terms of the applicable licence.

6. Copyright

Self-archiving does not transfer copyright ownership to the repository or any third party.

Authors retain copyright in accordance with the journal's Copyright Policy.

7. Third-Party Material

Authors are responsible for ensuring that third-party material included in a manuscript is appropriately licensed or permitted for the intended use.

Third-party material may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions.

8. Repository Policy and Journal Publication

Depositing a permitted version of a manuscript in a repository does not prevent publication in AJQR and does not constitute duplicate publication, provided that the repository copy is appropriately identified and the journal's publication policies are respected.

9. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in scholarly communication practices, repository requirements, copyright arrangements, or licensing standards.
