Publisher, Revenue and Advertising Policy

1. Publisher

Asian Journal of Qualitative Research (AJQR) is published by IBEX Institute of Social Sciences Research & Development.

The publisher is responsible for providing the organizational, administrative, and publishing infrastructure required for the operation and continued publication of the journal.

2. Revenue Sources

The primary publishing revenue of Asian Journal of Qualitative Research (AJQR) is derived from article processing charges (APCs) applicable to accepted articles, as stated in the journal's Article Processing Charges and Submission Fees Policy.

The journal does not depend on subscription payments for access to its published scholarly content.

3. Separation of Revenue and Editorial Decisions

Financial considerations do not influence the academic evaluation or editorial decision-making process.

Payment of an article processing charge, eligibility for any exceptional financial consideration, or any other financial relationship with the journal or publisher shall not determine:

  • whether a manuscript is sent for peer review;

  • the outcome of peer review;

  • acceptance or rejection of a manuscript;

  • the academic priority assigned to a manuscript; or

  • the timing of publication based on scholarly merit.

Editorial decisions are made independently according to the journal's stated editorial and peer-review policies.

4. Advertising Policy

Asian Journal of Qualitative Research (AJQR) may display limited advertising or promotional material on its website where appropriate.

Advertising is not a condition for manuscript submission, peer review, acceptance, or publication.

Advertisers and sponsors have no role in:

  • selecting manuscripts for publication;

  • influencing peer-review decisions;

  • appointing reviewers;

  • determining editorial decisions; or

  • modifying published scholarly content.

The journal maintains editorial independence from commercial or promotional interests.

5. Separation of Advertising and Scholarly Content

Advertising and promotional material, where used, will be clearly distinguishable from scholarly content.

Advertisements will not be presented in a manner that could reasonably be interpreted as part of a research article, editorial decision, peer-review report, or other scholarly content.

The presence or absence of advertising does not affect the editorial treatment of any manuscript.

6. Sponsored Content and Conflicts of Interest

The journal does not permit sponsored material to influence the academic content or editorial decisions of the journal.

Any financial or commercial relationship that could create a potential conflict of interest will be handled in accordance with the journal's Conflict of Interest and Funding Disclosure Policy.

7. Transparency

Information concerning publication charges and other applicable financial arrangements is made available to authors through the journal's website.

The journal aims to maintain transparency regarding its revenue sources and financial practices while protecting the confidentiality of individual financial arrangements where appropriate.

8. Editorial Independence

The publisher provides administrative and publishing support but does not interfere with the independent academic judgment of the editors.

Editors are responsible for editorial decisions in accordance with the journal's aims, scope, peer-review procedures, publication ethics, and scholarly standards.

9. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated when the journal's publishing arrangements, revenue sources, or advertising practices change. Any significant changes will be reflected on the journal's website.
