Asian Journal of Qualitative Research (AJQR) recognizes and respects the copyright ownership of authors whose scholarly work is published in the journal.
Copyright Ownership
Authors retain copyright in their articles published by AJQR.
Publication in the journal does not require authors to transfer ownership of copyright to AJQR or to its publisher, IBEX Institute of Social Sciences Research & Development.
Rights Granted to the Journal
By accepting an article for publication, the author(s) grant AJQR a non-exclusive right of first publication.
This right permits the journal to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, archive, index, and make the article publicly available as part of its scholarly publication record.
The granting of these publication rights does not constitute a transfer of copyright ownership.
Author Rights
Authors retain the right to:

Share their published article;

Deposit the published article in institutional or subject repositories;

Make the published article available through personal or institutional websites;

Use the article for teaching and academic purposes;

Include the article in a thesis or dissertation;

Reuse portions of the article in subsequent scholarly work, with appropriate acknowledgement of its original publication; and

Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights and permissions for any copyrighted material belonging to third parties that is included in their manuscript.
Where third-party material is not covered by the article's applicable licence, authors should obtain the necessary permission before publication and identify such material appropriately.
Authors are also responsible for ensuring that their submitted work does not infringe the copyright, intellectual property, or other legal rights of any third party.
Copyright and Editorial Decisions
Copyright ownership does not affect the editorial evaluation of a manuscript.
Editorial decisions are based on the journal's academic, editorial, peer-review, and ethical standards and are independent of copyright ownership arrangements.
Copyright and Open Access
Copyright retention by authors is consistent with AJQR's open access publishing model.
Published articles are made freely available under the Creative Commons licence specified in the journal's Licensing Policy.
The applicable licence determines the permissions granted to readers and other users for reuse of the published work.
Corrections, Retractions, and the Scholarly Record
Copyright ownership remains with the author(s) when an article is corrected, updated, or retracted.
Where a correction or retraction is necessary, AJQR may update the article record and publish an appropriate correction or retraction notice in accordance with its Correction and Retraction Policy.
